As for the name of this device, endgadget showed a recent TiVo survey that listed the following names:
• TiVo eVo
• TiVo OminBox
• TiVo Series4
• TiVo OnDemand
From the survey it looks like the new DVR will be able to record two or more programs at once. Does this imply multiple tuners? Or perhaps 2 tuners plus the ability to record video off of the internet? TiVo is definetely setting up partnerships with a number of companies. There is Netflix and now Jaman.com. Netflix and Jaman allow you to get videos on demand.
Jaman looks pretty interesting. Rentals cost between $0.99 and $4.99. You have between 7 and 30 days to start watching it and once you start either 24 hours or 7 days to finish the movie.
